Sun protection system with Novozymes praised
On 29 January 2009, in the property supplement to the Danish newspaper Børsen, the sun protection system, which HS Hansen developed in cooperation with our plate department, was praised. Click here to see the article.
The job involved the manufacturing of slats in lengths of almost four meters, executed in perforated aluminium plates with small holes.
"The task of manufacturing perforated plates with small, narrowly spaced holes, without damaging the plates, was something of a job. The solution was to purchase a special tool for our rotary punching machine. The result was a product of high quality, whilst the costs were kept down”, Mr Carsten Lauridsen, Managing Director with Ringkøbing Maskinværksted A/S explains. He adds that he is very pleased with the result.

New laser cutter
Due to great demand for laser cut products, in the autumn 2008 RMV invested in a 3 KW laser cutter. It handles steel plates of up to 4000 x 2000 x 20 mm. For futher specifications, please click here.
The success has been great, and the interest in cut products of a high quality has been increasing ever since. RMV is one of only a few companies in Western Jutland that carries out cutting as sub-contracting work (both small and large batches).
Internally, the investment has been a success, since the machine has contributed to making various processes more efficient. For example, now we can cut a thread in a hole without having to drill first.
